OK, this is cold. We are at -4 degrees witha wind chill of -25.
I was worried about the rabbits last night, with it getting sooo cold. But our porch held at 8 degrees. YEA. Everyone is doing fine.
Have to tell you a story.
My oldest son wakes me this morning, and was trying to wake his brother up for school. Now what temperature is it outside? So I turn on the news and their school is closed. I walk out to the LR and he is watching cartoons. Getting ready to leave for the bus. So I tell him that maybe if he watched the news, he would know they did not have school today. He tells me he looked but did not see his school. I find out he was looking for his school name not the district. Then I hear the dog barking outside. I ask if she is outside. He replies, Yes but she has only been out there 20 minutes. This is after he tells me it's cold out there. How cold is it outside? RRRRR, this kid is so book smart but really lacks in common sense.
I have finally found the pattern I want to do for the Soldier memorial cross stitch. It is by Merrey Design, Liberty & Justice for All. Picture's above. I wanted to do something simple but beautiful. Can't tell you how many hours I put looking for the right pattern. The first soldier I am doing is Marine Gary Koelher. He was the son to one of our ex police officers. Than I also have PFC Jason Meyer, I thought, I would work on some Michigan soldiers. We are losing a ton.
Still have to finish the names for the Police officers quilt from 911, started Devin's tiger cross stitch, and of course I have started the memorial . Let's see how well I can rotate.
Everyone try and stay warm. And for those of you in warmer climates, GRRRRRRR.
