Here is my second competition piece for the IL CS Group. Frame is 8x10, one I got at a garage sale and was waiting to use. I used four different threads of Carrie's creations and one DMC variegated. Colors are - Carrie's: Tropical Rainstorm, Bliss, Crazy Dreams, and Serenity, DMC 105 - Brown variegated. I will have to get the name of the design later and update it. I forgot the book at home. This and the Butterflies will be my only competition pieces. But it was great getting to use variegated threads.
Update on Nala, Nala is hanging in there. We had started antibiotics and they seem to be helping. But now she appears to have a fur ball. Probably from pulling all the fur for the nest, plus she grooms herself all the time. So, I bought some hair ball remedy, and applied it to her front paws last night. I don't think she was to happy with me. It was salmon flavored, as must people buy this for their cats. But she would not eat the Kale(dark green lettuce), Bullseye also gets this problem and the Kale helps move everything along. We will continue to apply until she moves things along.
On to the babies. They are just adorable. Still doing fine, but appear to be hungary all the time. Not sure if Mom has enough milk. They are two weeks old and should start eating regular food, hopefully they will soon. I will remove the nest box today. Then line the cage with hay. Will give them some great timothy hay. Maybe they will like that.
