I have finally finished both English Springer Spaniel pictures for Bonnie's Dogs. Bonnie runs a English Springer Spaniel rescue in Canada. My ILCS group was having a RAK(Random act of kindness) for her to raise money for the dogs.
All I need to do is frame and mail them. Hopefully I will get this done tomorrow, as I am not working.
Speaking of tomorrow, I have the night off because Stone is going for a sleep study. This is one, of the many things we are checking to see where his chest pain over the summer was coming from. We have already seen the cardiologist and no problems found there. So now, the sleep study as this kid can snore. Next will be a pulmonlogist, to see if his asthma is not controlled enough.
This child is going to be the end of me yet. He missed school, most of last week due to an ear infection. Let me tell you about that.
He came home Monday from school and stated his right ear hurt in school. Last time he complained of ear pain his ear drum ruptured. Well his left ear still has a tube to help with ear infections but not his right, we did not have any problems with that ear at that time. Any way, I look in his ear and see that the ear drum is red, meaning an infection. So after dinner I take him to urgent care to get some antibiotics.
Hate this, we waited over an hour and a half just to be told what I already knew. Doctor says, looks like this ear needs a tube. Really?!!!!
Next day he calls me from school because of the ear pain, I go and pick him up. Thinking the meds just need to kick in.
Then Wednesday, he wakes me to say he can't hear out of that ear. Great, I think, is it draining, I ask him. Yes. So we keep him home thinking that the meds did not work fast enough and now it has ruptured.
I had worked until 3am that morning, so when I could finally function, I look in his ear. I have never seen anything like that. It looked horrible, I thought that when the drum ruptured all that stuff went into his ear canal. I tried calling his Doctor's but they have some staff meeting going on, and I couldn't reach them. I eventually give up and go back to bed thinking, he's on meds and I just need to make sure his ear drum is healing, we'll try tomorrow. Again, I have to work another 12 hour shift that night.
Thursday, he is still having pain. So, Dan gets an appointment and takes him in while I am sleeping. When they come home I learn he has a double ear infection. One in the canal and one behind the ear drum. The ear drum had not ruptured. But they say this is one of the worst they have seen. Now we are doing ear drops twice a day in the ear. And he missed Friday because of the pain. Also we have to go back on the 29th to check his hearing in that ear.
Just to let you know, he was not sick in anyway and the only thing the Doctor's could come up with is that he went swimming the weekend before and this is were the infection came from. Wonder what was in that pool?
UGH. This child's ears have been a problem since birth.
As my mom says, he has my ears. I have had mine rupture four times. As I also do not feel pain until it is to late.
Changing the subject, hoping to work some on Devin's Tiger tonight. If all is slow here at work. Not looking good so far.
